When you arrive to Agia Theodora, then you can reach the “Neromylos toy Nikola” and the tavern from an iconic scenery walking path of 180m, which starts right to the exit of the chapel stone fence. Also, you could continue another 600m on the asphalt road by car and get to the parking of the “Neromylos”.
Now, in order to come at Agia Theodora, if you are driving with direction from North Greece to South, then at the highway to Kalamata, you should exit at your right, to “Megalopoli/Leontari”, then turn left at the old “national road” and drive for 2 more Km, where you should exit too at your right, and to the small signs for: “Isari/Basta/Agia Theodora”, and then continue on that small and turning road for 22 Km.
On the other hand, if you are coming from South and heading to North Greece, you either get the exit of the highway at “Paradeisia”, and after one Km to follow the same route to Agia Theodora/Basta/Isari, or to come through “Diavolitsi” you are at Southwestern Greece, and near “Kyparissia/Kalo Nero”. Finally there is a more difficult but beautiful route in the mountains, via “Andritsaina”, and near the Temple of Epicurious Apollo, but keep in mind that a small section is gravel and expected to be asphalt in a few months.
When you are in Agia Theodora, and get your relax time in the watermill (Neromylos) area, you can plan to visit many beautiful and unique sites and places, at a reach of 1 to 1,5 hours route.
Some of them are:
Also, if you like trekking, you can come to Neromylos, walking for about 1 hour downhill from the village Basta from a well-made path to Agia Theodora, or you can make an arrangement with “Greek railways friends” to come by train on the old and not regularly used now rails, when you can stop in distance of less than 2 hours and walk from there.
Needless to mention that it is an excellent place for Campers with mobile-homes and that “Neroymlos” is always ready to serve and let you park your mobile home in the complex’s parking, overnight.
